The subjects under the biology umbrella serve to introduce students to modern concepts in biological science, the study of life. In addition to emphasising the principles of the diversity of life, it uses the principles as a framework underlying the unity and diversity of life.
Biology BIOL10004 and BIOL10005 together prepare students for further study in the biological and preclinical sciences.
Australian Flora and Fauna BIOL10001 supplements BIOL10004 and BIOL10005 and is not required for further study in the biological and preclinical sciences.
Biology for Biomedicine BIOL10002 and BIOL10003 are only available for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Biomedicine, and together prepare students for further study in health related professions or research into Biomedicine and related fields.
